“What we have is a governor who has proven himself to be the great divider,” Democratic strategist Anders Croy said.
Croy is with DeSantis Watch, a group critical of the governor’s effort to build a national following, citing, for example, his transport of Venezuelan asylum-seekers to Martha’s Vineyard at taxpayer expense.
Croy says DeSantis is ignoring real Florida problems like affordable housing and health care coverage.
“Instead, what he has talked about is divisive issues that pit Floridians against each other because those are the most important issues for Republican primary voters nationwide,” Croy said.
