Following his time this week cowering out of sight instead of condemning former President Donald Trump for violating the Espionage Act, Governor Ron DeSantis takes his low-energy campaign for president to Nevada tomorrow with an appearance at the Basque Fry annual fundraiser in Gardnerville.
As Ron DeSantis visits Nevada for the first time as a declared candidate for president, DeSantis Watch, a project of DW PAC, will be running two digital ads, in English and Spanish, highlighting his extreme record on issues important to workers and seniors.
While Nevadans who worked hard are counting on the promise of a secure retirement, English language ad “Plain Wrong” outlines how DeSantis voted numerous times to slash billions from Social Security and Medicare during his time in Congress.
In Spanish, “Trabajo Duro” highlights for Nevadans how Floridians who work hard are facing an affordability crisis under Ron DeSantis while he does the bidding of billionaires and the corporate elites.
This ad buy in Nevada follows previous digital and radio campaigns during the Governor’s visits to New Hampshire and South Carolina in April, broadcast television, digital, and radio flights in Iowa during DeSantis’ visit in early May, and digital ads in North Carolina that coincided with Ron’s speech at the North Carolina GOP convention.
“For Nevadans, and for all Americans, hard work matters and it should mean a better life and a secure retirement for you and your family,” said DeSantis Watch Constituencies Director Natasha Sutherland. “But for Ron DeSantis, all that matters is doing favors for the billionaires and corporate elites who fund his political ambitions, even if it means breaking the promise we made as a country to our seniors or attacking the rights of workers trying to put food on the table and a roof over their heads.
