Today, Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign for president announced they had raised $20 million since entering the race for the Republican primary nomination in May. While abandoning the job he was elected to do in order to criss-cross the country groveling for money from billionaires and the corporate elite, Ron has seen his poll numbers plummet. His favorability rating currently stands almost 10% underwater with the American people.
In response, DeSantis Watch Communications Director Anders Croy issued the following statement:
“Everyday Americans are more concerned with protecting their personal freedoms and pocketbooks than whatever extreme right-wing nonsense Ron DeSantis is droning on about. There is no amount of money in the world that can fix a broken candidate with no charisma, although we encourage the billionaires and corporate elite donors to Ron DeSantis to continue to keep trying to plug the holes on this sinking ship with their checkbooks. We can’t think of a better use of their money than continuing to invest in this Empty Shell Governor.“
