TALLAHASSEE – Tomorrow, Governor Ron DeSantis will take time away from weaponizing state government in opposition to popular statewide ballot initiatives to travel to Ohio to pitch his failed “Florida Blueprint” on behalf of Bernie Moreno, an anti-abortion extremist and used car salesman who steals from his employees.
This follows the Governor’s August trip to North Carolina to campaign on behalf of disgraced Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson.
In response, DeSantis Watch Communications Director Anders Croy released the following statement:
“If Ohioans want a vision of what a future with an elected leader who is only focused on his own political ambitions, consistently attacks the rights of workers in favor of the corporate elite, and will implement an extreme abortion ban looks like, they’ll have a clear view when Ron DeSantis joins Bernie Moreno for a campaign event in Toledo.
“As Ron DeSantis loots millions of taxpayer dollars meant to combat the opioid crisis and to lower the cost of health care to advance his own political ambitions, it makes perfect sense he would campaign on behalf of another self-serving politician with a history of ripping off his own employees and advocating for a national abortion ban.“While Floridians continue to suffer under an affordability crisis, with the highest property insurance rates and some of the lowest wages in the country, it’s not surprising that Ron DeSantis remains focused on trying to pitch his failed ‘Florida Blueprint’ of higher costs and fewer freedoms with like-minded candidates in states that already rejected him during his failed presidential campaign.”
