TALLAHASSEE – Today, Lame Duck Governor Ron DeSantis gave his State of the State address during the first day of Florida’s 2025 Legislative Session.
In response, DeSantis Watch Communications Director Anders Croy released the following statement:
“Today’s speech was another reminder that Lame Duck Ron DeSantis has no solutions to solve the affordability crisis he created so he’s going to resort to more political stunts to re-hatch his cracked national political ambitions in order to distract Floridians from his failed leadership here at home.
“Ron DeSantis’ time in office can be defined by rising costs and fewer freedoms for working families and seniors in our state, while the corporate elite donors who funded the Governor’s political ambitions saw their profits skyrocket.
“No amount of green screen hits on Fox News or podcast appearances with far-right weirdos will change the fact that the legacy of Ron DeSantis will be as the Governor who put the dream of an affordable Florida to live, work, and retire in out of reach.”
