Barbara Zdravecky, the former president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, said during a Wednesday press conference led by Progress Michigan, a nonprofit that advocates for progressive policy in the state, that “reproductive freedom in our state is under attack.
Progress Michigan Deputy Director Sam Inglot said educators are also walking on eggshells as a result of his policies, and anti-union legislation could hurt the Florida working class.
“The dystopian stories coming out of Florida should make Michiganders angry for what’s happening to folks in the Sunshine State,” said Sam Inglot, president of Progress Michigan.
In two separate virtual media conferences, Democrats from that state and his home state of Florida decried the Governor and his allegedly extreme agenda ahead of speeches at the Midland County Republican Party Spring Breakfast and Hillsdale College.
